Our mission is to create and encourage a collaborative community of health care providers who inspire our clients to design their own healthy, vital lives. We do this by offering services, education programs and products that enhance health and wellbeing. Developing this mission inspired us to name our business Designing Health.
All of our services offer the opportunity to calm the nervous system, since many of us live in fight or flight mode, and take some time to reset. Services offered are diverse and there seems to be something for everyone. Our clients can use one service or combine services for a more synergistic effect. One example is using the sauna before massage as it warms the muscles, putting them in prime condition for deeper stretching and tension relief. We offer synergy packages that encourage you to use multiple services and/or have many sessions to enjoy a cumulative effect.
Our Services include:
The Float tank: A 4’ x 4’ x 8’ enclosed tank filled with 10” of water and 850lbs of medical grade Epsom salts. The water is warmed to skin temperature and you are completely free from light, noise, and the outside environment. This provides a time for sensory enhancement and deep relaxation as you are completely buoyant. Our clients report many of a long list of benefits that include wellbeing, pain and anxiety relief and better sleep. The benefits are also long lasting (up to 32 hours) and cumulative.
The Infrared Sauna: Infrared saunas use a milder temperature by directly heating the skin, tissues and muscles without the need to raise the outside temperature as much as traditional saunas. This causes the same vigorous sweat at lower temperatures. Our clients report pain and tension relief and muscle relaxation after experiencing our infrared sauna. Benefits include increased circulation, decreased inflammation, a wonderful glow and healthier looking skin with regular use.
Massage Therapy: We have 5 great massage therapists: Alanna Nelson LMT, Claire Mittlestet LMT, Ambre Reffel LMT, Karen Morrison LMT and Ember Gren LMT. We offer a diverse assortment of therapeutic massages that include Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Thai, Lomi Lomi and Craniosacral Therapy
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF): PEMFs have been used for decades around the world to treat a wide range of medical conditions, from broken bones and swollen tissues to depression and inflammation. The results of this very safe therapy include: Less pain and inflammation with some acute and chronic pain disappearing completely, improved energy and sleep, stimulation of bone growth and balance for the immune system. Our clients have reported a reduction in chronic pain as well as a greater sense of wellbeing after using this treatment. We offer aromatherapy and music therapy with this treatment at no additional cost.
Acupunture: offered by Hilary Simila L.Ac.
