Utilize 32 Acupressure Points to Release Trauma & Tension From The Mind and Body

This is a simple technique where light touch on 32 points
on the head gently dissipates the electromagnetic charge
that gets locked in the brain by thoughts, feelings and
emotions that have stored up over lifetimes.
Each point represents different areas of your life such as
creativity, money, hopes, dreams and more. Having your
bars run is like hitting the "delete" button on all the old
computer files you no longer need! By the end of the
course, you can begin using the technique on friends,
family, and even clients of your own to create change right away. 😊

Winning Your Day With a Daily Routine

How you start your day, defines it!  In this evening discussion, Paula Crossfield, practitioner of Ayurveda and other sciences of India, will talk about why having a daily morning routine helps us thrive, the kinds of things we should include in such a routine, and how to get started with new habits. She will bring in and discuss some of the basics from her routine, including yoga, the importance of drinking warm water first thing, oiling the skin before bathing and essential oils to use.

Paula has studied yoga for over 18 years, and is mentored on the ancient Indian health science of Ayurveda and other topics by Dr. Robert Svoboda, the first Westerner ever to graduate and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. He is the author of twelve books on Ayurveda and other topics related to the Indian sciences. Paula is also a Wellness Advocate for doTERRA.

32 points on your head which, when gently touched, effortlessly and easily can
release anything that doesn't allow you to receive.
The Universe is endlessly abundant and desiring to gift to you! We actually
have to put up barriers to not receive the greatness, beauty and magic of what
is available. The Bars breaks down those walls and barriers. This is an opportunity for you to let go of everything!

Radical Embodiment: Reconnect with Your Body's Wisdom Through Movement, Art, Story

RADICAL EMBODIMENT

Reconnect with Your Body’s Wisdom

Through Movement, Art, Story

May 17-19, 2019

@ 7th Street Cottage Retreat Center
in Gearhart, Oregon

Join us on the gorgeous Oregon coast for a weekend of body-mindful creativity, community,

Radical Embodiment is a way back from the edge of the broken crazy world into an inner space of trust and healing: back into our human-animal bodies and into the magic and the joy, the pain and the wonder of being alive, right here, right now.

This weekend workshop is an invitation to explore, play, and reconnect with the deep wisdom of our bodies through three powerful healing modalities: movement, art-making, and storytelling.

Working together and independently, we will excavate the stories we carry in our bones and our flesh: transmuting the old stories that are keeping us stuck in old patterns and outworn ways into powerful new stories and new ways of being in our bodies, with each other, and in the world.

Overview

Friday, 2 pm – 8 pm
We will begin Friday afternoon with a dedication ceremony and a conversation on Radical Embodiment with Jennifer Langdon. A hosted dinner will be followed by a restorative yoga session with Nicole Bales and a crystal bowl sound healing with Fawn DeViney.

Saturday, 9 am – 4 pm
In Saturday’s workshop we will take a deep dive together, exploring a variety of practices and activities to help us access the wisdom of our bodies, our creativity and the mysteries of the world(s) we inhabit:

  • a qi gong-inspired chakra visualizing and activating practice

  • a sensory walking meditation at the edge of land and sea

  • a hands-on creative project: a hand-bound journal that you will design and sew by hand, and use throughout the workshop

  • a writing workshop/playgroup, using prose, poetry, wordplay and the framework of The Heroine’s Journey to translate the insights of the body back into words: truths we can live by.

Sunday, 10 am – 12 pm
On Sunday morning, we will gather to share our dreamwork-homework, followed by a closing ceremony.

Bios from our presenters:

Jennifer Langdon is a writer, maker, and creative consultant. Always an iconoclast, her journey back from chronic illness has led her to a wide range of healing strategies, from floating and functional medicine to minimalism and metaphysics. She is pulling these threads together in the art and practice of Radical Embodiment (think permaculture for the mind-body-soul) and a deep faith in the power of art-making, story-telling, and connectivity to heal ourselves, each other, and the world. She blogs sporadically at www.creative-egghead.com.

Nicole Bales is a 200 hour yoga teacher and has been practicing yoga for 8 years. Her first experience with yoga was a class taught in a barn nestled in the middle of a flower farm near her home. The class was accessible to everybody and provided a warm, welcoming, and non judgmental environment. Nicole was inspired to create these environments in her own class and in every interaction. Nicole’s goal is to create more open, curious and loving communities. Nicole has taught at Just Move Studio in Pleasant Hill, OR and Celebration Belly Dance and Yoga Studio in Eugene, OR, as well as at the Astoria Senior Center in Astoria. Nicole has been living in Astoria for two years.

Fawn DeViney is a photographer by profession but it is her personal practice that is her true

passion, artful mediation. She has found the ritual of using sound healing with alchemy crystal

bowls to be a profound remedy in creative blocks and reducing how stress manifests mentally

and physically. She is an eternal student learning about the vast healing remedies of sound,

energy, and vibration. She looks forward to sharing this modality with you.

Ember Gren and Rebecca Auman are co-conspirators and magic makers.

They live and play in a healing garden nestled between the Cascade Mountains and Pacific Ocean in Gearhart, Oregon.

Rebecca walks the mystical path with practical feet as writer, intuitive, transformer, coach and healer.  She is an accomplished leader who specializes in working with executives, fundraisers and philanthropists to make meaningful contributions to their communites and to the world.  Rebecca has led workshops in North Carolina, New York, San Francisco, Oregon, the UK and the Bahamas.

Ember is an earthy, soulful healer and lover of all beings.

In addition to relaxation and healing, she uses massage to help her clients release trauma and integrate new ideas, experiences & learnings to promote personal growth. Trained at the Grove, Ember brings concepts, ideas and outcomes to life with her spirited drawings and visual facilitation.

They look forward to hosting you on May 17th!

POSTPONED Massage Workshop For Caregivers

Massage offers us an opportunity for connection on a physical level…

intentionally sharing compassion and healing touch. I was part of a team

that cared for my Dad as he died from Lewy Body Disease (a combination

of Parkinsonian tremors and dementia symptoms). Massage calmed his

tremors and the ritual we created around it, a cup of cocoa and playing the

same music, was reassuring and soothing greatly reducing his agitation and

aggression. Long after Dad had forgotten my name, he recognized that I

was there to massage him and would smile and grab his, often tremoring,

left arm when I came through the door.

Please join us at Designing Health to learn massage techniques that will

help you care for the person you love.
